Speak Out 4 Others

Beware The Devil Hides Best In The Church

“Christians” who revile

My Only Comfort

In preparing for Sunday’s sermon, I have been meditating on this verse:

But actually, I wrote to you not to associate with any so-called brother if he should be an immoral person, or covetous, or an idolater, or a reviler, or a drunkard, or a swindler– not even to eat with such a one.
(1Co 5:11 NAS)

It seems so clear to me, but the implications are profound. There are those who go about calling themselves Christians. And yet their lives are marked with sexual immorality, greed, love of money, and hatred.

One word in particular strikes me – a reviler. A reviler is one who is deliberately abusive in their speech. A reviler is one who uses speech to vomit out their anger, to tear down and destroy, and to belittle and condemn. A reviler doesn’t leave physical bruises, but seeks to silence and degrade the image of God…

Knowing the Narcissist

You ought to have read Perfect Sense. If not, stop now and go and read it. If you already have, good, let’s proceed. The word salad is an occurrence of several disorders and is invariably an unintended consequence of certain mental health conditions. This differs when word salad is considered in the context of narcissism. What is it? It is where we communicate with you in a method which does not make sense, fails to progress a discussion or results in a lack of an outcome. As opposed to a stream of consciousness, it is a mechanism deployed by our kind to achieve several outcomes which I detail below. The use of word salad is most effective in a face to face discussion but it also appears in telephone conversations with our kind, text messages and e-mails.

An open letter to the men we thought we knew….

Enveloped by grace

warriorTo the men we thought we knew,

This letter has been a long time in the making. Too many times we longed to put pen to paper, yet thought better of it.

Never could we have imagined a time would come when the pain you caused could be appreciated. Little confidence existed that we held the strength to trudge through the heartache of yet another day of you. However, to our surprise, we were stronger than we thought and survived another day. We thank you for pushing us to the point of recognizing, we are strong!

For the extensive list of…
